Lucky me. In 2006, I received a nice gift from a friend. My friend gave me two albums. One was Jazzman Olofin’s, the other Dare’s From Me 2 U freshman album. When I listened to both artists, I was impressed. I really like Olofin’s work but the guy just disappeared and it has been a challenge for him to make a solid comeback, although I remain hopeful. Alade, on the other hand, it appears, has been an interesting music roller coaster. I’ve never understood the attack on his vocal abilities solely based on being the son of, apparently, a legendary music icon.
In any event, I have never seen him interview. Yesterday, I watched his interview with Factory 78 and liked his disposition. From the way he sat to how he spoke, his eye contact with the host, among other things, I dug. He appears, to me, to also be rather shy. I was impressed with his interview and deemed it worthy to share. So, check him out below.
What do you all think? This will be his third/junior album. He speaks of penetrating the UK markets. You think he got what it takes?
