Made Men Music Group Founder and CEO Ubi Franklin expands his business portfolio with the launch of his ‘Instant Pickup, a laundry service app. Franklin took to social media over the weekend to make the announcement. The official launch event was held on Thursday at Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. Franklin also unveiled celebrity ambassadors for the brand: TBoss, Selebobo, Mr. Jellof, Annie Idibia, Gbenro Ajibade, Ushbebe, Damilola Adegbite and comedian Senator. In relevant part, below is what he shared on social media:

“It is with great pleasure and delight that I welcome you to The Official Product Launch Of The “Instant PickUp App”. The “Instant PickUp App” is about impacting the lives of Nigerians positively by creating a stress-free, cost-effective and innovative approach to how dry-cleaning and laundry services are delivered. Our vision for “Instant PickUp App” was as a result of the inconveniences I personally experienced, while managing a hectic business schedule, family commitments, a travel schedule and attempting to fulfill laundry service needs, a problem most of us are familiar with.

My passion for creativity and innovation irregardless of the industry whether it’s the music business, food & beverage or my new found interest in technology, has always been to “change the game” or be “disruptive”. I often ask, “Why is it not working efficiently? why can’t it be easier or more affordable?”

These attitudes and quest for a better country, where the average individual, middle class or “up and coming” can afford quality dry cleaning services at an affordable price leveraging technology from the tip of their fingers. This is the sole reason why we birthed the “Instant PickUp App”. Of all my entrepreneurial pursuits, the “Instant PickUp App” is one in which I have been the most passionate about. From conception to the deployment of the app, I worked with brilliant and innovative Nigerians made up of promising individuals who worked tirelessly to ensure we delivered a quality product that defines the Nigerian app ecosystem as one to be reckoned with.

Through the launch of the “Instant PickUp App” we have demonstrated that the genius of the Nigerian mind is capable of achieving any feat. For this I will like everyone to give a resounding applause to our technical, business development team, strategy department, Finance, Marketing and operations team that has been a part of the “Instant PickUp App” launch…”

Franklin has been quite busy this year on the personal and professional front. He has actively worked on fixing his widely publicized broken relationship with Nollywood Actress Lilian Usoro and sharing a unified co-parenting image on social media. On the professional front, he recently signed three additional artists to MMMG and seems to be going full speed ahead with his business ventures.

Good look Ubi.

  1. Did you notice the logo is similar to that of Instagram? I don’t understand the reasoning behind that. Seems like they made quite an effort with the entire business, not sure why they decided to drop the ball with that.

My first thought on seeing that was it had something to do with Instagram. Similar style, similar colours. Not a good look. What happened to creativity?!

  2. Uju,You are totally right. Ubi franklin is Scam….He just takes peoples ideas and make it his. He recently launched a funding project which he claims is dedicated to fund the start up of innovative youths with unique business ideas in Nigeria. What he does is to take their ideas and start the business himself.
